OUR HISTORY

In 2001, Steve and Karen Davis started Challenger Spares & Support as a small aviation company providing airframe parts specifically for the Challenger Series of aircraft. Rather than brokering parts, they have built an extensive inventory depth of assets which has provided customers with more flexible parts and service options through advanced exchanges, overhauls, repairs, rentals, etc. These flexible options including Challenger Spares & Support’s technical expertise and hands on experience, have allowed them to tailor to customers exact needs. Throughout the years, the product line and repair services have expanded to support the Global, Learjet. Falcon and Gulfstream aircraft. In addition, their customer base has extended from working directly with operators and service centers to doing business with brokers, aviation management firms, insurers and FBOs.

After several years of operation, Steve and Karen felt the need to start another division focusing solely on engines called Turbine Jet Specialties. The need was to present customers different program options other than what was on the market at the time. This allowed for customers to benefit in overall cost savings with no hourly or monthly expenses. Combining the engine programs with the Challenger Spares & Support structures and components division not only offered commercial discounts but also a true turnkey product and solution for the industry.

In 2009, Challenger Spares and Support created another sister division, Challenger Repair Group #8CHR492B/EASA.145.6271, to supplement repairs in-house. They currently operate under limited airframe, limited powerplant and limited accessory ratings. Strong suits of the repair station include airframe structures and composite repair for Global, Challenger, Lear, Falcon and Gulfstream aircraft, BR710 thrust reversers, cowlings, inlets, valves, etc. The repair station capabilities list currently encompasses over 600 part numbers and continues to grow each day.

At the end of 2012, Challenger Spares and Support was rebranded to Red Aviation. The emphasis on the change was to allow for immediate and future growth beyond the Challenger series of aircraft with the additions of the Global and Learjet product lines along with extensive repair capabilities. Future products and services will continue to be added as Red Aviation takes flight.
